Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website!  If you’re a current patient, thank you for allowing us the opportunity to fulfill your eye care needs.  If you’re new to our practice, we look forward to meeting you and exploring the various options available for correcting or enhancing your vision.

Dr. William Adams first established his Santa Cruz ophthalmology practice almost fifty years ago, watching it grow into one of the premier practices in area.  Dr. Hsei then joined the practice to provide expertise in advanced cataract and laser vision surgery.  Not too long after, Dr. Cheng came to our practice to become the first fellowship trained corneal specialist in the county.  And more recently, we are excited to add Dr. Zhou to our practice bringing the newest techniques in cataract and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS).  Working together, we have continued Dr. Adam's legacy by blending experience and the latest advances in training to provide complete eye care services to our community.  Our patients frequently compliment us on our friendly staff, family atmosphere, and excellent results.

Our ophthalmology practice offers the most current and innovative services including the latest FDA approved New Technology Intraocular Lenses, such as Alcon and J&J Toric lenses, Crystal Lens, Restor, Tecnis Symfony, Vivity, and other premium lenses.  We also can consult for advanced Laser Vision Correction utilizing wavefront technology and the VISX Excimer Laser and make a referral if appropriate.  All the doctors perform small incision stitch-less cataract surgery with the lastest technology enhanced treatment, using the AMO Whitestar Signature Phacoemulsification System.  Our practice also provides the next generation of corneal transplantation (DSEK) ensuring faster and better recovery.  In addition, the practice offers the most sophisticated diagnostic equipment available including computerized perimetry and scanning laser imaging of the optic nerve for glaucoma, IOL Master laser interference biometry for accurate measurements before cataract surgery, and optical imaging and fundus photos of the retina.  All of these services are conveniently located at our facility and surgeries are performed at our own accredited outpatient surgery center.
